The Swanstrom multi-purpose anvil provides an ideal work surface for small-scale forming tasks. It features an interchangeable flat top and versatile mandrels designed to accommodate a variety of shaping needs. Perfect for shaping rings, slim bracelets, and curved components for drops or dangles, this anvil includes two stepped and two tapered mandrel shapes. Mandrels attach securely with a screw, tightened from the opposite end using a hex wrench. Compact and portable, it’s excellent for trade shows, demonstrations, or use in a shop or classroom. For permanent placement, the anvil can be mounted to a bench using the pre-drilled holes in its base. Two hex wrenches and mounting bolts are included. Crafted from hardened tool steel, the flat top plate and mandrels ensure long-lasting durability.
Universal Adapter: Holds a variety of tools and holders (such as those for Fretz stakes) that require one- or two-bolt attachments. Ideal for use with Fretz forming tools and stakeholders. Tools that typically require a holder will still need one—simply secure the holder in the universal adapter before inserting the tool.
Small-Tool Adapter: Accommodates small, convertible forming tools, such as Bonny Doon ring-forming split-die pairs. Secure the adapter in the anvil, then attach your chosen tool.

Large Smooth: 13/64" to 1-1/2" dia.; 2-1/8" long
Small Smooth: 3/8" to 1" dia.; 3-1/32" long
Large Stepped: Six steps – 1", 7/8", 3/4", 5/8", 1/2", and 3/8" dia.; 3-1/32" long
Small Stepped: Six steps – 5/8", 9/16", 1/2", 7/16", 3/8", and 5/16" dia.; 3" long
This Swanstrom Full Kit also includes one each of the following. These are all the accessories that Swanstrom currently offers for the NR1720 anvil. Add a Bonny Doon hammer, and you're ready to start forming metal.
